Cena made his long-awaited return to the ring to team up with Bobby Lashley and beat Kevin Owens as well as Elias in a Tag Team Match that saw him debuting his new finisher The Lightning Fist.
The WWE Universe is used to seeing The Champ competing with his signature buzz cut since 2002.
But WWE Super Show-Down was a different story, however, as the 16-time world champion appeared with an unusually long and well-groomed hairline.
That shocked WWE fans around the world as they took to social media to share their take on the wrestling legend’s new look.
Some compared his new hairdo to that of JBL, which made Cena post a hilarious response on Twitter where he thanked the ex-WWE Champion for the “grooming tips”.
He tweeted: “Thank you [Australia] #WWESSD @WWE @WWEUniverse for an amazing evening. Thank you @JCLayfield for the grooming tips. Thank you [China] @EyeOfJackieChan for the [Lighning Fist].”
The former World Heavyweight Champion also seems to have poked some fun on his new do on Instagram with a picture of Homer Simpson stroking his unusually long and brown hairline in front of a mirror.
Cena hadn’t been seen wrestling on TV since April at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia where he beat legendary rival Triple H.
The Leader of the Cenation then made a rare non-televised appearance at a live event in Shanghai last month where he teamed up with Lashley and Finn Balor.
The impressive trio defeated Elias, Baron Corbin and Jinder Mahal in a Six Man Tag Team Match.
Cena has been working on a part-time basis with WWE as he is following in the footsteps of fellow WWE legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and is building a career in Hollywood.
The former US Champion has taken part in various blockbuster hits like Trainwreck, Blockers and Daddy’s Home 2.
