WWE superstars ready for a MCG smackdown1:37
More than 70,000 fans are preparing to watch the superstars of World Wrestling Entertainment body slam and headlock their way to supremacy at the MCG on Saturday. The famed Melbourne Cricket Ground will play host to the WWE Super Show-Down, with fans travelling from across the country and abroad to witness the entertainment spectacular. Sky News' newest recruit, Hunter Panahi, spoke to some of the stars
WRESTLING fans are expected to pack out the home of football in Melbourne as the biggest names from the WWE head Down Under.
WWE legends The Undertaker and Triple H headline proceedings in what could be an all-time classic fight between two of the company’s behemoths.
UFC convert Ronda Rousey will hope her return to Melbourne ends on a better note this time around when she partners with the Bella Twins.
The action is set to get underway from 7:00pm (AEST).
‘Insane’: Rousey rocks Melbourne
It took a while for Rousey to enter the fight as the Bella twins continually refused to tag her in, but was she entered it was all one-way traffic.
After finally getting the tag, it didn’t take long for the former UFC champion to completely dominate proceedings.
With her teammates sprawled out on the ground outside of the ring, Rousey took matters into her own hands and single-handedly destroyed two opponents.
Using her former MMA skills, Rousey locked in a double arm bar to earn the tap out and claim the win.
The commentators couldn’t quite believe what they were witnessing “I’ve never seen that,” one proclaimed.
“This is insane,” another added.

No DQ match delivering the goods
AJ Styles and Samoa Joe’s rivalry has been simmering away for weeks and the two men finally met in a no disqualification grudge match.
It didn’t take long for the sheer brutality of the contest to leave both men sprawled out on the canvas and after 15 minutes, the weapons started entering.
Samoa Joe brought a steel chair into the contest only for Styles to crack him on several occasions across the back.
NO DQ just came back to BITE @SamoaJoe!#WWESSD #WWEChampionship @AJStylesOrg pic.twitter.com/iKoGsnKyPN

The fight turned when Styles plunged Joe through a table which seemed to catch his left knee and ultimately brought about his undoing.
Styles locked in a calf lock and Joe could do nothing but tap out and means Styles retains his WWE Championship.
Aussie duo make big impact
Four-years ago Peyton Royce and Billie Kay were just beginning their WWE journey and on Saturday night they took things to the big stage.
Taking on Asuka and Naomi, the duo emerged victorious in front of their home crowd after a tense back-and-forth fight.

Cena’s new look mocked mercilessly
Ahead of John Cena’s highly anticipated arrival, wrestling stars Elias and Kevin Owens sat in the ring and took turns potshotting their opponents along with the city of Melbourne.
Elias had the crowd rocking as he dropped a riff of AC/DC before claiming his opponents (Cena and Bobby Lashley) “are going down just like Collingwood did”.
Owens however clearly wasn’t happy with the venue for the event and slammed the city of Melbourne.
“‘We’re here in a cesspool of a city,” Owens said.
Cena’s grand entrance was unfortunately overshadowed and it wasn’t his lean physique that had people talking. No, it was the hair on his head which had fans in stitches.

‘Vicious early assault’
The daughter of WWE royalty Ric Flair, Charlotte Flair is looking to retain her Smackdown Women’s Championship from Becky Lynch.
But the fight got off to the worst possible start for Flair who was thrown from the ring onto the mat outside in what was a hard fall.
One of the commentator’s proclaimed the opening moments of the fight were a “vicious early assault” as fans on social media worried about the impact of the fall.
Charlotte came very close to breaking her neck there. #WWESSD

The fight was brought to an end after Flair had Lynch locked in a figure-8 leg lock, but Lynch grabbed her championship belt and hit Flair with it. The move brought about a disqualification which means Lynch retains her belt.
As she began to walk back towards the dressing room Flair went after her which caused another scuffle to break out outside of the ring.
But it was Lynch who once again came out on top.
Becky Lynch got herself DQ'd after 10 minutes due to hitting Charlotte with the title, so Flair wins, but Lynch is still champ. I thought that was a possible finish. Sets up another match at Evolution later in the month. #WWESSD

High-flying action underway
The action at the MCG is off and running with the first championship belt on the line.
Tag team duos The New Day had the target on their backs as Cesaro and Sheamus aimed to strip away their belt.
But the high-flying combo proved too good for their rivals and walked out the same way they walked in, with the belts in hand.

‘We dreamt of moments like this’
Aussie duo Peyton Royce and Billie Kay will team up in the second fight of the night and take on the dynamic duo of Asuka and Naomi.
Known as ‘The Ilconics’, the pair kicked off their wrestling career just down the road from the MCG only four-years ago.
Ahead of the huge fight in front of what the company hope will be a packed MCG, the duo spoke about the crazy feeling of fighting in front of their home crowd.
“This is the first time we’ve been in here, this is incredible,” Kay said.
“I’m sweaty, I’m anxious and I’m getting very overwhelmed right now.”
“Honestly it’s more than a dream come true. We dreamt of moments like this when we were kids and while we were chasing the dream, just merely five years ago and now we’re at the MCG … wow,” Royce added.

With their families in attendance to watch the biggest WWE event ever seen in Australia, the moment is incredibly overwhelming.
“Our family are our biggest supporters, they’ve always been the people we can turn to,” Kay said.
“It’s hard living so far away from them, we miss out on a lot of stuff.
“We miss out on birthdays and Christmases,” a choked up Kay added.
“We’ve sacrificed so much to be here and when we walk out there and they get to feel it with us, that’s what it’s all about.
