WWE star Roman Reigns linked to massive steroid investigation

CLEVELAND, Ohio - It's a situation that could spell trouble for WWE's early 2018 plans.

Roman Reigns, the promotion's top star at the moment, has been implicated in a $10 million steroid ring.

Jailed steroid ring operator Robert Rodriguez named Reigns, real name Leati Anoa'i, as an alleged client. The Drug Enforcement Agency raided Rodriguez's Miami-based company Wellness Fitness Nutrition last year.

Rodriguez also named actors Mark Wahlberg and Josh Duhamel as alleged clients. WWE or Reigns has yet to comment on the allegations.

Reigns is scheduled to wrestle at WWE Raw's 25th Anniversary show on Monday. His past includes a WWE Wellness Policy violation for the use of Adderall.

WWE and its superstars have been linked to steroids multiple times in the past, which has included big names like Randy Orton and Batista.

It is presumed Reigns will headline WrestleMania 34 in April alongside Brock Lesnar. However, a steroid scandal could throw a wrench in those plans.
