WWE fans are in a frenzy trying to guess the identity of the mysterious figure featured in a teaser for a new NXT star.

The short clip was released last week, and it showed a silhouette of a jacket-wearing figure walking towards the camera in front of a bright light.

An image of the word “soon” then appears with the Os being replaced by two spade playing card symbols.

The WWE video titled the mouth-watering vignette with: “An ominous force is coming soon to NXT.”

For days the wrestling lovers have been speculating on who the mystery new arrival will be – with many believing they have solved the puzzle.

Ronda Rousey’s pal and ex-MMA fighter Shayna Baszler is the collective conscious.

The 37-year-old, who has been known as the ‘The Queen of Spades’ during her time on the Indy scene, finished as runner-up in WWE‘s Mae Young Classic tournament in the summer.

The 5ft 7in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and Muay Thai expert often wrestles with the spades feature on her attire.

And that seemed to seal the deal for the majority when speculating on the newcomer.

However, a British wrestler has thrown a real spanner in the works as she teased the possibility it was him.

Rockstar Spud, 34 from Birmingham, recently left rival promotion Impact Wrestling and is reportedly due to join WWE to compete in the 205 Cruiserweight Division.

And he shared the clip on his Twitter account along with a thinking face emoji, with fans taking that as a sign it was him.

A number of other names, such as German star Axel Dieter Jr – were thrown into the mix.

The British star has teased fans into believing it is actually him in the video

But in true WWE fashion, it would be no surprise if they were trying to trick their followers into believing it is a male superstar when in fact it is Baszler.

She is now officially under contract with Vince McMahon’s company and is already training full-time at the WWE performance centre in Orlando, Florida.

Baszler is part of MMA’s “Four Horsewomen” and an old training partner of Rousey – who is expected herself to switch to wrestling in the very near future.
