WWE Could Bring Back Hulk Hogan For A Risky Return On Raw's 25th Anniversary

WWE's year of unlikely returns very well could spill over into 2018 as Hulk Hogan has resurfaced as a potential return candidate following his ousting for racially insensitive remarks made in private to Heather Clem.

The remarks led to a titanic lawsuit that sunk salacious website Gawker, which ultimately settled with Hogan for $31 million, thereby opening a Pandora's Box of questions pertaining to free speech and journalistic integrity.

Hogan has since shown contrition for his inexcusable comments, and WWE's controversial lionization of the late Ultimate Warrior—who has made hateful comments of his own in the past—suggests that the promotion could be willing to extend an olive branch toward a remorseful Hogan.

Hulk Hogan's History of Returns to WWE Suggests Future Comeback

Hogan and WWE have had an on-again, off-again relationship for decades. The transcendent star has made several unlikely returns to the promotion after previously being at odds in multiple eras.

In 1994, Hogan made a memorable leap to WCW in a momentous run alongside the NWO that almost put WWE out of business. In 2010, he joined forces with TNA for a less fruitless run at the crown. Like clockwork, Hogan would make a triumphant return to WWE following each instance.
