After drawing its lowest viewership total ever, with just 2.470 million viewers due to anomalistically strong competition from President Donald Trump's SCOTUS announcement, Raw unsurprisingly rebounded 16% with 2.866 million average viewers despite competition from the MLB home run derby.
WWE now looks to build on its audience as the road to SummerSlam continues, with a main event between Roman Reigns and Bobby Lashley in addition to McMahon's historic announcement.
Over the past few years, Stephanie McMahon has emerged as the face of the women's evolution. And after making historic announcements earlier this year to debut an all-women's Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber, another historic announcement pertaining to women's wrestling in WWE is as guaranteed as the inevitable complaints that Stephanie McMahon is trying to steal their spotlight.

WWE's social media channels are all abuzz about what this reveal could be. A women's Intercontinental Championship? A women's Tag Team Championship? An all-women's pay-per-view?
Most importantly, the curiosity surrounding the announcement will almost surely deliver strong viewership at a time where Raw's TV numbers traditionally see growth.
Major reveals have proven to be a ratings draw for WWE. Last year, Raw's viewership rose significantly with a 22% increase for the reveal of Enzo Amore's attacker on the June 19 broadcast. Viewership increased 5% one month later for the reveal of Kurt Angle's son on the July 17 broadcast.
